11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young.
(If you were a mom with a pair of lambs running kind of wild, wondering if you could really make it as a mother, wouldn't you appreciate the shepherd's gentle attentions and guidance?)
26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
(Every lose one of your kids? (no pun intended!) How wonderful to have a partner in this life who knows each one by name, and lets none go missing...)
