For example, stand in the middle of the road (if you dare) and no matter where you are, what's close will seem large, while items in the distance will seem smaller.

So, I don't know if it's possible to have God's perspective on the magnitude - value, importance, "size" - of things. But if we can't see as he does on what is "important" perhaps we can see as he does on what is good or best.

What do you think?Martihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04492242951732140223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36770289.post-91867625277079988402011-01-21T14:26:08.332-07:002011-01-21T14:26:08.332-07:00As always, it's all about perception. It's...As always, it's all about perception. It's staggering to think about the difference in proportion between the stories that affect an entire nation, and those that undermine only a single family . . . and yet if you know that family, you can be harder hit, and more deeply influenced, than you would upon hearing the news about the aforementioned country. All because of the limits inherent in our perception.

Of course, we serve a God and Savior who are limitless in their perception--who can shape the events of history and still have time to meet the individual where they are, when they are. That's the power of a personal God. That's what Jesus so effectively brought to the picture. Question is . . . how prepared are we to try and perceive things the way He does. . . ?

- ScottScott Fieldsnoreply@blogger.com
